AS Metrosert is a state-owned company of the Republic of Estonia operating under the administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications. Metrosert performs two mutually reinforcing and strategically important functions for Estonia.

As a centre for applied research, it supports Estonian enterprises in addressing technological challenges by providing research infrastructure, expert knowledge, and collaborative networks in five domains: drone technologies (including semiconductor technologies), autonomous vehicles, health data, hydrogen technologies, and biorefining.

As the National Metrology Institute (NMI) of Estonia, Metrosert ensures the functioning of the national quality infrastructure by maintaining and developing national measurement standards (national etalons), establishing internationally recognised measurement traceability, and providing metrology services. Metrosert is one of the largest providers of calibration services for measuring instruments in the Baltic region, offering calibration for more than 200 types of measuring instruments in the following fields: electricity; time and frequency; temperature; length; pressure; optics; mass; volume; force; and torque.

In addition, Metrosert provides consultancy services to companies and public institutions aimed at improving the accuracy and efficiency of measurement systems, and implements research and development projects in the field of measurement science. As a partner of Metrosert, you can rely on a broad portfolio of services, long-standing experience and expertise, state-of-the-art instrumentation, and a high level of quality.
